Abra la boca

During the summer of 2006, I volunteered as a student nurse for Los Medicos Voladores ("The Flying Doctors"). Although we worked hard all week providing free medical and dental care in Quetzaltenango, we did squeeze in a few hours of sightseeing.

Be nice to San Simon!

In a town known to be home to many witches, we payed a visit to this shrine for San Simon. A nurse on our trip made fun of San Simon by saying he "looks like Michael Jackson." Within two hours of saying this, the nurse lost his passport!
